Assemble 2018

Assemble is a participatory piece that encourages the discovery of material and place, while also being able to stand alone as an abstract sculpture in response to the wooded environment. The piece is comprised of six fixed base structures and loose, movable stick components. Participants are invited to find and gather the small wooden stick objects and assemble them onto the base structures to form bush huts. Each hut was be made from real branches, sanded, sealed and painted in a monochrome bright colour.
